Having Fun, Developing Skills and Building Friendships through Sport
Our summer sessions give kids with special needs an opportunity to be active, have fun and learn a new sport while building friendships with their volunteer peer buddies. The players and peer buddies partner up for the week and participate in the games together. SSL hours will be given for time spent volunteering. We look forward to having a great time playing and learning this summer!
We are offering programs for youth (athletes in grades 2 - 12) and young adults (athletes aged 16 - 25) and we need volunteers for all of our programs. Please note age/grade requirements for volunteers when registering; we ask that volunteers in our youth programs be in grades 6+ and volunteers in our young adult programs be in grades 9+.
We are at three locations this summer: Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, Rock Creek Forest ES in Chevy Chase, and Silver Creek MS in Kensington.
